Service & Maintenance
Keep your solar system performing at its best
Regular inspection and maintenance help maintain the performance, safety and reliability of your solar power system — whether we installed it or not.
Why maintenance matters
A solar system is quiet — which is exactly the problem
Regular inspection and maintenance can help maintain the performance, safety and reliability of your solar power system.
Unlike most equipment, a solar system rarely announces that something is wrong. It simply generates a little less. A shaded string, a soiled panel surface, a loose DC connection or an inverter running with a fault can go unnoticed for months, quietly costing you units every single day.
That is why periodic checking is worth the visit. It is also why we would rather tell you your panels just need cleaning than sell you something you don't need.

When to call us
Signs your system needs a look
None of these mean something is definitely wrong — but all of them are worth checking.
Your bill went up without your usage changing
The most common first symptom of reduced generation is simply a higher EB bill than the previous cycle at the same usage.
The inverter display shows a fault or warning
Error codes and warning indicators are worth acting on rather than ignoring — some are minor, some are not.
Generation is lower than the same month last year
A year-on-year comparison at the same season is a better indicator than a month-on-month one.
Visible soiling, staining or debris on the panels
Dust, bird droppings and leaf litter on the panel surface reduce output more than most people assume.
New shading has appeared
A tree that has grown or a new structure next door can shade part of the array during peak hours.
The system is several years old and never checked
Connections loosen, seals age and mounting hardware works loose over time. A periodic inspection catches this early.
A service visit
What actually happens when we come out
Performance review
We look at inverter data and recent generation against what the system should be producing at this time of year.
Physical inspection
Panels, mounting structure, cabling routes, ACDB/DCDB, earthing and general condition of the installation.
Electrical checking
Connection inspection and troubleshooting of anything the performance review flagged.
Report & recommendation
A clear explanation of what we found, what needs doing now, and what can wait.
For systems we install, one year of free service support is included after installation, and we remain available for technical assistance afterwards. Service terms vary depending on the product, manufacturer warranty and installation.
Service FAQ
Questions about solar maintenance
Yes. We provide inspection, performance checking and service support for existing solar systems. We will assess what is installed, identify the issue and tell you honestly whether it needs a repair, a replacement or simply a clean.
The common causes are soiling on the panel surface, new shading from a growing tree or a neighbouring structure, a loose or corroded connection, or an inverter fault. A performance check with the inverter data usually narrows it down quickly.
Periodic inspection is sensible for any system, with frequency depending on the site — dusty locations, coastal exposure and heavy vegetation all shorten the interval. We advise a schedule based on what we see at your site.
Solar system inspection, performance checking, inverter troubleshooting where needed, electrical connection inspection and preventive maintenance, with technical support and a clear report of what we found.
We provide one year of free service support after installation, with continued technical assistance afterwards. Specific service terms vary depending on the product, manufacturer warranty and installation.
